Ed Fella

Ed Fella is an artist and Graphic Designer. On his website he has sections for his many different talents within these fields. Photography, Typography, Illustration, Collages. He won the National Design Awards in 2001, Chrysler Award in 1997 and an Honorary Doctorate from CCS in Detroit in 1999.
He has work in the National Design Gallery and in the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York. He has also had half a magazine dedicated to his work by Emigre magazine, the other half was dedicated to a designer called Piet Schreuders. He has also published his own books; Edward Fella: Letter on America, Photographs and Lettering and Two Lines Align: Drawings and Graphic Design by Ed Fella and Geoff McFetridge.
He was a professional commercial artist for 30 years in Detroit until he received an MFA in Design in 1987. Since this time he has devoted his time to teaching at the California Insitute of the Arts.

I have never come across Ed Fella's work previously. But I think it is very creative and colourful. I like that he has lots going on in his work and that it all manages to tie into to create a brilliant piece of work.
