Semiotics is the study of sign processes, signs and symbols.
Semiotics branches off into three different categories;

• Semantics - which is the relation between signs and the things they refer to.
• Syntactics - is the relation of signs to each other
• Pragmatics - which is the relation of signs to their impacts on those who use them

Signs such as road signs, star signs, shop signs

I am basing my blog on Astrological signs - these represent twelve segments of the zodiac.

There are 3 main branches of astology - Western Astrology, Vedic Astrology and Asian or Chinese Astrology.

I believe that these are just theories. Someone bases them on the way the Sun, Moon and Five planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Venus, Mercury and Mars) are lined up and from that are somehow able to forecast your day, week or month. I don't believe in these star signs as each one you read is different.

I'm a Libra so i'm going to search on the web to see what my horoscope is today.

Well each of the websites I have got my star sign from has told me something completely different so I would say its definately a conspirocy and a load of crap.
